Privacy policy
What we collect when you write to us, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights under the GDPR.
Data controller
The data controller is Rémy Grisollet, a French sole trader (SIREN 107 509 465) publishing the Abyse brand, 1 rue Marguerin, 75014 Paris, France. For any question about your data, write to support@linesia.net.
What we collect
This website has no user accounts and no analytics. We only collect what you choose to send us through the contact form:
- the reason for your message (a game, a job application or something else);
- your name and email address;
- if you provide them, your company or studio and a link;
- your message.
With each message, we also record the IP address and the browser identifier (user agent) it was sent from, so we can detect spam and abuse. To limit repeated submissions, the IP address of anyone sending the form is also kept in memory for ten minutes. We do not keep logs of visits to the website.
Cookies and trackers
This website sets no cookies and uses no local storage, analytics, advertising trackers or social media widgets. Its fonts and images are served from our own server, so visiting it does not send your data to any third party. No consent banner is therefore needed.
Purposes and legal basis
- Answering your message and following up on your project or request: steps taken at your request before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Reviewing job applications: steps taken at your request before a possible employment or service contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Protecting the form against spam and abuse: our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Article 6(1)(f)).
Recipients
Your messages are read only by the Abyse team. They are stored on our server, hosted by OVH SAS in France, which acts as our processor.
So the team sees new messages quickly, each message is also posted to a private Discord channel reserved for the team. Discord Inc. is based in the United States; this transfer relies on the safeguards Discord provides under Chapter V of the GDPR.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we never add you to a mailing list.
How long we keep it
Messages are deleted automatically three years after the last message you sent us. Job applications are deleted automatically two years after they were sent. If a collaboration follows, the data needed for it is kept for its duration and for the periods required by law, notably for accounting.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Messages are stored in a file that only the server account can read, and access to the server is restricted to the team.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to support@linesia.net or use the contact form. We answer within one month.
You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Minors
This website is intended for professionals and adults. If you are under 15, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us a message.
Changes
We may update this policy when the website or the applicable rules change. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
